‘MAPPING THE PATH’

- A Journey THROUGH the Buddha’s TEACHINGS -

Every Thursday Evening 7:30 to 9pm - 4th June to 16th July 2026

It’s very easy to feel confused or lost when we encounter the huge scope of Buddha’s teachings - and the multitude of different lists - that form part of the Pali Canon. In this series of 7 sessions we’ll look at and discuss some of the main teaching lists found in the Majjhima Nikaya and Samyutta Nikaya so that we can try and take in the full extent of the path that the Buddha is laying out for us. We’ll look at how the different Dharma lists build on and compliment each other, creating a ‘map’ of the teachings that we can use to guide us home.

Each session will be a mixture of meditation, presentation and discussion suitable to all levels of practitioner. The only requirement is enthusiasm. If you would like to join us, please just drop us an email using the Contact page.

For other Meditation events and retreats we recommend:

Gaia House - A very well known and established retreat centre in Devon, which offers silent meditation retreats from various Buddhist traditions, led by experienced Dharma teachers from all over the world.

London Insight Meditation offers regular online and in-person teachings from the Insight Meditation tradition. They explore the modern application of authentic Buddhist teachings in our lives.

Hebden Bridge Zen - A friendly Soto Zen group in Yorkshire, who regularly organise good value retreats with well known teachers in the Soto tradition.
